I’m officially less than eight weeks away from THE BIG DAY (darn you May for being a long month)! As we’ve gotten closer, I’ve been doing a lot more thinking about what kind of pictures we want from the wedding day.
We have an amazing photographer, and she told us to not only give her a shot list, but to also send her pictures that I see and like the style of. I feel like a good photographer not only has their own style, but will also do their best to try and capture things the way you want them to.
I’ve been looking at my married friends’ wedding albums on Facebook and getting some really good ideas. I also found two different slideshows on The Knot that showed some must-have shots! Here are my favorites from those slideshows.
An artistic look at a kiss…
A picture of mom lacing up my dress…
Silhouettes of a first dance…
That escort card display that you worked so hard on!
A candid picture of the girls having fun and getting ready…
I love pictures that are taken in the mirror…
Gotta have a picture of the dress as it waits to be put on…
Who doesn’t want a picture of herself looking like a TOTAL movie star??
A picture with dad before the ceremony…
After all the hours spent on pomanders, they will definitely be on the shot list.
I definitely want a picture like this of J, his mom and his sister.
When you have a cool getaway car like we do, you have to get a picture like this!!
I love the “laying in the grass” pictures!
If you need some ideas for your own photos, you can see the slideshows from The Knot here and here. Hopefully, they can provide you with some inspiration to share with your photographer! Don’t be shy… Make sure you communicate with your photographer so you the get the memories you want!
